NEW ULM — The New Ulm Vietnam Veterans Memorial in German Park was designed to accomplish three important goals. To remember and honor the six young men from New Ulm who died in the Vietnam war — Dennis Weldon Wellmann, Daniel William Lloyd, Henry Clarence Polzin, Timothy Emmett Sullivan, Steven Carl Seemann, and Rickey Allen Slander.
