ST. PAUL — Martin Luther College’s Katie Schoeneck earned UMAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week (9/2-9/8) due to her performance in three games against Dakota Wesleyan, Maranatha Baptist, and Wisconsin Lutheran.

Schoeneck scored four goals over the weekend in Wisconsin and had a great game against Maranatha Baptist, where she completed the hat trick, scoring three of MLC’s five goals in their shutout win over the Sabercats.

On Sunday, the sophomore added one more goal and dished out an assist against the Warriors, sitting atop the leaderboard in goals scored (5). Additionally, the forward recorded eight shots on goal this past week, keeping opposing defenses on their heels.

Schoeneck and the Knights’ women’s soccer team play Minnesota Morris at home in their next contest. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
