Jaxx drop 2 over weekend

WABASSO — The Wabasso Jaxx fell to the Willmar Rails 10-8 on Friday night in a Corn Belt League amateur baseball game.
The Jaxx were led by Deagen Maurice, who was 2 for 3 with a double, while Brandon Duscher was 2 for 4 and Josh Guetter was 2 for 5 with a homer and three RBIs. Colton Taylor was also 2 for 5 for the Jaxx, while Carter Guetter was 1 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Carter Guetter took the loss in an inning of relief, allowing four hits for three runs while striking out one.
Christian Lessman got the pitching win in 1 2/3 innings, allowing no hits, walks or runs while striking out four. He also led the Rails at the plate, going 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs, while Cullen Gregory was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and Jayden Dierenfeld was 2 for 5 with an RBI and three RBIs.

RAYMOND 12, WABASSO 0 (7 INNINGS)
RAYMOND — The Wabasso Jaxx were shut out 12-0 by the Raymond Rockets on Sunday in a Corn Belt League amateur baseball game.
The game ended in seven innings due to the 10-run lead rule.
CJ Theis led the Wabasso bats, going 2 for 2. He also took the pitching loss in five innings, allowing 11 hits and four walks for 11 runs while striking out two.
Caleb Ditmarson led the Raymond bats, going 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, while Isaac Call was 2 for 2, Mike Jeseritz was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Payton Sterkowitz was 1 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs. Dreyer Homen earned the shutout win in seven innings, allowing four hits and no walks while striking out 13.
Wabasso is now 0-3 in the CBL.
