COMFREY — Springfield downed Mountain Lake Area 25-13, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22 on Monday night in a nonconference volleyball match.

The Tigers were led by Brooklyn Sturm’s 16 kills, 17 digs and two blocks, while Jaeli Richert had 41 set assists, nine digs and four kills and Jalivia Richert had six kills and three blocks. Bree Rasmussen had 10 digs and four ace serves also for Springfield, while Maddy Digmann had 21 digs, Lexi Groebner had five kills and two blocks, Jasmine Peterson-Novotny added three kills and three blocks and McKenna Granda added three kills.

Springfield (7-18) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Tuesday night in a Tomahawk Conference match.

St. Mary’s 3, Nicollet 0

NICOLLET — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s swept Nicollet 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 on Monday night in a nonconference volleyball match.

St. Mary’s was led by Bella Hoffmann’s 18 set assists, four kills, five aces and three blocks, while Allison Labat had 10 set assists, seven kills and three aces. Jaci Domeier also had 11 kills and seven digs, while Jenica Schroepfer had 16 digs, Addie Hoffmann had 10 digs and Amelia Schwartz had four blocks.

Nicollet was led by Shannon Soost’s five kills, while Emma Drill had eight set assists and Brooklyn Bode had four blocks and two aces.

St. Mary’s (18-4) hosts Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop in Tomahawk Conference action on Tuesday, while Nicollet (5-16-1) is at Truman for a Valley Conference game Tuesday.

Sleepy Eye 3, St. Clair 0

ST. CLAIR — Sleepy Eye swept St. Clair 28-26, 25-16, 25-12 on Monday night in a nonconference volleyball match.

Breaunna Mertz led Sleepy Eye with 11 kills, 11 digs and two aces, while Kadence Hesse had nine kills, 19 digs, three aces and three blocks. Brooke Arneson had 22 set assists and 13 digs also for Sleepy Eye, while Paige Haala had 18 digs and Sam Price added seven kills.

Sleepy Eye travels to take on Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Tuesday night.
