NEW ULM – On Tuesday, Minnesota GOP gubernatorial candidate John Krhin visited the Brown County Courthouse as part of his county prayer tour.

As part of his campaign, Krhin is traveling to all 87 Minnesota county seats to pray for local communities, public servants and governing authorities. At each location Krhin prayed for God’s wisdom, protection and guidance for those in leadership, asking for the restoration of righteousness, integrity, and moral courage in public office.

“At the GOP state convention I made a clear push to bring a spiritual awakening in this state,” Krhin said. “A spiritual awakening has been growing in this country for a long time, but it has not reached Minnesota. I think now is the time.”

Krhin said in attending Republican rallies and meeting across the country he has felt spiritual push. Many of the political events felt more like religious revivals. With the prayer tour he hopes to bring religious morals back to the state.

“We have a lot of ground to make up for in Minnesota,” Krhin said.

He cited the recent reports of fraud and Black Lives Matter riots as examples of a lack of religious morals in the state.

Krhin said the biggest issue hurting Minnesota is abortion rights. He said under the DFL trifecta, the state has expanded abortion rights, but with the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade, he said Minnesota has the best opportunity pass an abortion ban.

As Governor, Krhin promises to restore integrity, accountability and zero tolerance for fraud in government, return educational authority to parents and champion constitutional reforms that limit government power.

Krhin said if elected Governor, he would revamp the state’s social service. He said 70% of the state’s budget is spent on things the average Minnesotan does not benefit from.

“Our founders and our constitution say the people are the ones who should be served by the government,” Krhin said. “The government is inherently in hands of people. We’ve faced different levels of tyranny in Minnesota with the woke culture and heavy tax burden.”

As of Saturday, Krhin has visited and prayed in 23 counties in Minnesota. He is one of seven Republican candidates for Minnesota Governor. The primary election is Tuesday, August 11.
