Last Sunday, the New Ulm Tennis Association had its annual Random Draw Mixed-Up Doubles Tournament, a special event for NUTA members and MLC students, at the new MLC courts. The NUTA randomly draws names for partners and play a round-robin format so everyone gets to know each other. After having pizza, the NUTA announced the three top team winners. Pictured left are the winners from left to right: Third-place team Daren Neet/Pat Schneider; First-place team Brian Friesenegger/Jess Waege; Second-place team Juanda Escobar/Elijah Schulz. The emphasis of this tournament is having fun and getting to know who plays tennis in the area. The tournament had a total of 22 players, with great participation from the MLC students.
