New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday at Center and Washington St. Megan Kelley, 22, New Ulm, was driving a 2013 Ford westbound on Center St., tried to turn left, southbound on Washington St. and was struck by a 2017 Ford driven westbound on Center by Kevin Moody, 29, New Ulm. Damage was severe to the rear end of the 2013 ford and severe to the front end of the 2017 Ford. Kelley had minor injuries.
• Performed a welfare check at B & J Laundromat, 506 Center at 10:17 p.m. Tuesday. A 43-year-old New Ulm woman appeared to be having a mental health crisis. She refused to cooperative with police. No injuries or damage were reported. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday at 5th St. N. and German St. A K9 officer’s dog “hit” on the vehicle. Items found in the vehicle were five marijuana baggies, two pipes with marijuana, five marijuana vaping devices and a container with marijuana. A 41-year-old New Ulm woman was driving the vehicle. A 60-year-old New Ulm man was a passenger. A report for charge consideration went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Stopped a vehicle for poor driving conduct by a 29-year-old New Ulm woman at 2:11 a.m. Wednesday at Broadway and 9th St. S. A K9 dog “hit” on the vehicle. Items found in the vehicle included a bottle and clear baggie both with marijuana inside. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
