Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 19 intersection, Beaver Falls Township, Renville County at 7:27 p.m. Sunday. A 2009 Chrysler Town & Country minivan driven by David Michael Degre, 40, Fairfax, was northbound on Highway 71 when it collided with a 1997 GMC Sierra driven southbound on Highway 71 by Robert Eugene Hodge, 51, Redwood Falls.
Degre and his passengers Donovan Shawn Cable, 11, David Michael Egre, 13, Fairfax were transported to Centracare Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Morton Fire Dept. Redwood Falls and Lower Sioux Police, Centracare Ambulance and the Redwood and Renville County Sheriff’s Offices assisted. Everybody wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a report at 10:13 a.m. Sunday about a female driver who entered a ditch about a month ago, near 370th and 140th Streets, Bashaw Township and wound up in the Little Cottonwood River. No injuries were reported. A report went to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources since the property is a wildlife area. A report went to investigators.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a report at 1:14 a.m. Saturday of a 30-year-old New Ulm woman who cut herself and took a large amount of prescription drugs on Valley St. N. She was transported by Allina Ambulance to New Ulm Medical Center. A report was done for documentation.
• Talked to a 60-year-old New Ulm man recently released from jail at 11:52 a.m. Saturday on the 1100 block of 17th St. N. The man said while he was in jail, a 51-year-old New Ulm woman appeared to have stolen and deposited his checks totaling $3,536 and put the money into her cash app account. It was unclear if the man gave permission to the woman to cash his checks or not. The case is under investigation.
• Talked to a 35-year-old St. Paul man on the 1100 block, 16th St. N. at 9:26 a.m. Monday who said he came to town to pick up his 8-year-old son, but the mother, a 36-year-old New Ulm woman refused to let him have his son. The man produced paperwork showing he had sole custody of the boy. The woman later turned the child over to his father. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• A 33-year-old New Ulm man on Sunrise Dr. told police at 6:28 p.m. Monday that his ex-wife, a 39-year-old woman, entered his residence without permission. The man said a sweatshirt valued at $80 was missing. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a juvenile trouble call at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday at New Ulm Middle School. A 13-year-old girl was cited for possession of a nicotine vape on school property. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
