New Ulm Police
• A 42-year-old New Ulm man told police at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday that a 39-year-old New Ulm woman, the mother of an 11-year-old child they have in common, provided alcohol to the boy. The boy told police the woman offered him a sip of beer. The mother told police she is in a custody battle with the father, who is trying to defame her to get full custody of the child. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• A 35-year-old New Ulm man told police at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday that he and a 39-year-old New Ulm woman got into a verbal argument. He said the woman threw a fan and book at him but did not hit him. A bedroom door was damaged when it was slammed hard. The woman denied throwing anything at the man. Reports went to the Committee Against Domestic Abuse, Brown County Human Services and the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of domestic assault charges against the woman.
• A 37-year-old New Ulm woman told police at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday that her 11-year-old daughter assaulted her eight-year-old brother. The mother said she was having difficulty with her daughter. Police tried to talk to the girl but she refused to speak with them. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
• A 40-year-old New Ulm woman told police at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday she believes her ex-boyfriend, a 33-year-old homeless man, stole her electric lawn mower. The man told police he did not steal the mower valued at $35. A report was done for documentation.
