New Ulm Police
• Received a report from a 26-year-old New Ulm male who said he was threatened to be beaten up online by a suspect with a false identity at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a report at 6:02 p.m. Wednesday of a 15-year-old New Ulm male accused of getting into a disturbance, resulting in minor bruises on a 49-year-old New Ulm woman. No medical attention was sought.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries on State Highway 15, Madelia Township at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday. A 2015 Ford Fiesta driven by Miguel Angel Barbosa, 50, St. James and a 2014 Toyota Tundra driven by William Henry Wurtz, 81, Hanska, were both southbound when they collided. Barbosa and a passenger, Rene Hernandez, 39, St. James, both wore seat belts and were transported to Madelia Hospital. An airbag deployed in the Ford. Wurtz was not injured and wore a seat belt. Assisting agencies included the Watonwan and Brown County Sheriff’s Offices, Madelia Fire and Ambulance.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries on State Highway 15, Sumter Township, McLeod County at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday. A 2013 Peterbuilt straight truck driven by Tyler Christopher Whitney, 21, Brownton and a 2015 Ford Taurus driven by Shirley Jean Meece, 78, Hutchinson, were southbound on Highway 15 when they collided. Meece and a passenger, Kimberly Marie Meece, 46, Stewart, both wore seat belts and were transported to Glencoe Health with non-life threatening injuries. Whitney was not injured and wore a seat belt. Assisting agencies included the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Brownton Fire Dept. and Allina Emergency Medical Services.
