Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a theft report on 177th Avenue, Lake Hanska Township at 7:43 p.m. May 1. A number of items were missing from a residence. An investigation continues. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a theft report at InStyle Salon and Spa, 1511 N. Broadway at 4:20 p.m. May 1. An unidentified woman walked out without paying a $120 bill. The name the woman gave doesn’t come back to anyone. A report was done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Annandale man for a taillight malfunction at 12:09 a.m. May 2 at Payne St. N. and 16th St. N. A report including methamphetamine possession in a motor vehicle was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at 2nd Street South and State Street at 1:28 p.m. May 2. Megan K. Williams, 35, New Ulm, was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot southbound, tried to merge into traffic and hit a legally parked, unoccupied 2010 Acura TSX on the roadside. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Williams wore a seat belt.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Received a one-vehicle crash report on TH 19, Underwood Township, Redwood County at 12:11 May 1. Susan L. Stoppel, 55, Milroy, was driving a 2021 Ram 1500 pickup westbound on TH 19, lost control, entered the north ditch and rolled. Stoppel did not wear a seat belt and was transported to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. Alcohol was not involved. The Redwood County Sheriffs’ Office, Milroy Fire and Rescue and North Ambulance assisted.
