Audrey was born March 9, 1940, the second daughter, third in line, in a family of 6 children. She attended business school and later trained as a nurse’s aide and worked at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis. Audrey spent time traveling, living in Hawaii and Arizona before returning to Minnesota, where she married and built a life with Lyle Fox on the farm in Lamberton.

After retirement, Audrey and Lyle moved into town where Audrey spent time volunteering at the Methodist Church and was a caring presence for friends and neighbors who were sick or in need. Her kindness touched many lives.

She spent 10 additional years in Lamberton, and in 2014 she moved to Hutchinson, MN to get closer to her family and the community in which she grew up. In 2016, Audrey moved to assisted living in Lakeville, MN. She enjoyed the social gatherings, bingo, playing 500, fixing puzzles, music, the movie theater, and the chapel until she passed on July 9, 2026.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Jodie and husband Bill Sonterre of Lakeville, Mila and husband David Hirth of Plymouth, Melodie and husband David Karge of Mankato, and Kristie and husband Greg Weigel of Prior Lake; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, parents, Milo and Vera Wacker; brother Delano (Butch) Wacker; and sister Jolene Wacker.

Funeral service Monday, July 27, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 20165 Heath Ave., Lakeville, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Reception at church following service. Grave side service and Interment at 5 pm at the Lamberton City Cemetery, 2700 125th St., Lamberton, MN. Local reception following at Lamberton American Legion from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Memorials are preferred to a charity to be selected by the family.
