Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Arrested a 29-year-old Madelia man for DWI on CR 29, Milford Township at 9:15 p.m. Jan. 15. He was transported to jail for a 10-hour hold and released. No damage or injuries were reported. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Arrested a 57-year-old New Ulm woman for DWI on TH 15, Cottonwood Township at 10:31 p.m. Jan. 15. She was transported to jail for a 10-hour hold and released. No damage or injuries were reported. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Arrested a Sleepy Eye woman in her 30s for DWI and transported her to jail for a 10-hour hold at 7:46 p.m. Jan. 15. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report of explosions at New Ulm Steel & Recycling at 11:22 a.m. Jan. 16. A report was sent to New Ulm City Hall.

• Performed a welfare check at 12:25 p.m. Jan. 15 on the 1300 block S. German. Nobody was hurt, no damage reported during a verbal domestic between a 33-year-old New Ulm woman and a 30-year old Sleepy Eye man.
