New Ulm Police
•Received a one-vehicle crash report without injuries at5:44 a.m. Oct. 28. Nicole L. Anderson, 30, New Ulm, was driving a 2014 GMC Acadia northbound on Broadway when she hit a deer, causing minor front end damage. She wore a seat belt.
• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at 605S. Broadway at 9:57 a.m. Oct. 31. Gary W. Sullivan, 70, St. James, was driving a 2005 Dodge northbound on Broadway when he collided with a 2012 Ford driven by Carol Ann Geyer, 70, De Smet, S.D., who stopped, then backed up to drive onto the yard. Damage was light to the front of the Ford. No visible damage to the Dodge. Both drivers wore seat belts.
•Responded to a disturbance at 6:24 p.m. Oct. 30 at 2526S. Bridge regarding a cat that was caught in live trap, taken to the countryside and released. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Arrested a 30-year-old Waseca man at 8:25 a.m. Oct. 31at New Ulm Medical Center on a Blue Earth County warrant. A report was sent to Blue Earth County Probation.
•Responded to a verbal domestic at 7:14 p.m. Oct. 29 onthe 400 block, S. State involving a 43-year-old woman and 14-year-old New Ulm female. No charges sought. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
•Received a report of a cellphone said to be ordered butnot received at 1310 S. German St. at 10:02 a.m. Oct. 30. Assurance Wireless said the phone was delivered. A report was done for documentation.
•Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation driven by a31-year-old Ellsworth, Wi. man at Pfaender Dr. and 5th St. N. at 11:41 p.m. Oct. 28. The suspect turned over a revoked Wis. driver’s license and fled. Pursuit was terminated on CR 11 near Essig. The suspect’s driver’s license matched his Facebook page. A report was done for documentation.
•Arrested and cited a 36-year-old New Ulm woman formisdemeanor domestic assault at 2:24 a.m. Oct. 29 on the 1800 block of Ashland Road. The victim was a 38-year-old New Ulm man.
•Stopped a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Kansas City,Mo. man for illegal window tint at 5th St. and Linden St. at 12:35 pm. Oct. 29. He was cited for no driver’s license, no insurance, suspending an object from a vehicle, illegal window tint and obstructed license plate. A report was sent to Brown County Probation due to passengers on probation.
Sibley County Sheriff’s Office
•Took a report of a one-vehicle crash about 3 miles westof Gaylord, Transit Township at 7:43 a.m. Oct. 30. James Wagner, 67, Fairfax, was driving a 1996 Peterbilt semi, tried to turn off 511th Ave. onto CR 10 when the trailer tires entered the road ditch, causing it to overturn on its side.
Minnesota State Patrol
•Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:20 p.m. at 441stAvenue and 190th Street, 5 miles south of Glencoe in New Auburn Township. Christine Milbrand, 73, Glencoe was northbound on 441st Ave., when she drove a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country off the road into the southbound ditch and into a power pole. She was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The van had heavy front-end damage. The New Auburn Fire Dept. and Arlington Ambulance assisted.
•Responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 15at Division Street, Sumter Township, McLeod County at 3:54 p.m. Oct. 28. Deborah A. Messner, 69, Brownton, was driving a 2017 Lexus NX southbound on Highway 15, stopped to turn left when she collided with a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Alexandra C. Kretsch, 18, Gibbon, who was also southbound on Highway 15.Messner, Kretsch and a passenger in the Lexus, Jeffrey L.Messner, 71, Brownton, were all transported to Hutchinson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All three people wore seat belts. The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Brownton Fire and Allina Ambulance assisted.
