Brown County Sheriff

• Arrested a 60-year-old Hanska man for DWI after answering a disturbance call at 204 Minnesota St. at 9:09 p.m. Aug. 2. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

New Ulm Police

• Arrested a 35-year-old New Ulm man for disorderly conduct after answering a disturbance report of a man screaming at people at 600 Jefferson St. S. at 11:27 p.m. Aug. 2. Reports were sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Brown County Human Services.

• Received a scam/fraud report from a resident at 1021 Garden St. N. at 11:23 a.m. Aug. 3. The resident reported getting a text message that they could receive a $50,000 grant for buying $2,600 worth of gift cards. The resident was told to report the scam to the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov. A report was done for documentation.
