New Ulm Police
• Received a report of catalytic converter theft from a 2008 Toyota Prius in the Martin Luther College football field parking lot near the south island at 3:43 p.m. April 15. The vehicle was last driven at 9:30 p.m., April 13. Replacement cost was estimated at $3,000. A report for done for documentation.
• A boat propeller and reported stolen from Retzlaff Marine & Small Engine Repair, 21 N. Minnesota St. at 4:38 p.m. April 15. Replacement cost was estimated at $261. Retzlaffs are reviewing surveillance video footage before turning it over to police investigators. A report was done for documentation.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• A Stately Township resident on 400th Avenue made a scam/fraud report involving an SBA (Small Business Administration) loan application at 3:01 p.m. April 15. The complainant said he was notified by a Chicago bank of the incident. No financial loss was reported.
• A Milford Township resident on CR 27 made a scam/fraud report of an unemployment insurance application. A letter was referred to the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Investigations Unit. No financial loss was reported.
