New Ulm Police
• Responded to an underage party report on the 900 block, Franklin Street South at 12:34 a.m. Saturday. Officers located many juveniles near a backyard campfire. Underage alcohol citations were issued to 17 and 15-year-old New Ulm boys. School notification letters were sent plus a report to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at near Valley Street and 12th Street North at 1:42 p.m. Saturday. A 40-year-old New Ulm man was cited for driving after revocation and given a verbal warning for an open cannabis package in a motor vehicle. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a vehicle for a license plate that didn’t match the make and model of the vehicle at Summit Ave. and CR 26 at 1:16 p.m. Sunday. A 60-year-old Redwood Falls man was cited for operating an uninsured, unregistered vehicle and driving after cancellation. He was warned for an open cannabis package in a motor vehicle. A report was done for documentation.
• Responded to a report of a man trying to break into Markplatz Mall, 101 German Street North at 11:07 p.m. Sunday. A 32-year-old New Ulm man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of felony first-degree burglary, gross misdemeanor pistol possession without a permit in a public place and felony possession of burglary tools.
• Received a call at 2:34 p.m. Monday from a 74-year-old New Ulm man who said his 73-year-old wife never showed up at this sister’s Eden Prairie home for lunch. An attempt to locate was issued. Hutchinson Police located the woman, said to be disoriented, not long afterwards. The woman’s son arrived and said he would take her to a Hutchinson hospital for an evaluation. A report was done for documentation.
• Arrested a 27-year-old New Ulm woman for an HRO violation on Valley Street North at 7:16 p.m. Tuesday. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Arrested a 20-year-old Sleepy Eye male Brown County Jail inmate after a reported incident at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday with a 44-year-old rural New Ulm man. No medical attention was sought. No damage reported. Police are investigating the incident.
