Brown County Sheriff

• Responded to a one-vehicle accident at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 5 near Bashaw Township. A 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by a 60 year-old-male was southbound on County Road 5 when it entered a cornfield. No injuries were reported.

• Assisted Sleepy Eye Police with a report of underage consumption at 2:19 p.m. Thursday at Sleepy Eye Baseball Park.

Sibley County Sheriff

• Received a report of a two-vehicle accident without injuries at 1:24 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 17. A 1998 Chevy truck driven by Jason Heagle, 48, Arlington, was pulling a camper southbound on County Road 17 and entered the left lane to make a wide right turn. A 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Britany Schmerbauch, 28, Arlington, was also southbound on the road and swerved into the right ditch to avoid hitting the truck. The Pontiac sideswiped the front bumber of the truck. The truck received minor damage to the front bumber and the Potiac received moderate damage along the driver’s side of the vehicle.
