Grandstands roar again

NEW ULM — After a two year absence, the grandstands at the Brown County Fairgrounds were open again with the truck and tractor pull.

The truck and tractor pull brought competitive pullers from all around the region, including Mankato, Redwood Falls and Montgomery, as well as local pullers from Nicollet, Lafayette and New Ulm.

Two pulling lanes were set up inside the stadium for different tractor classes to take turns pulling the weighted sled. The results of the contest will be released tomorrow.

The grandstands will host demolition derbies 7 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Saturday. GB Leighton will play a concert at 7 p.m. demo derby.
