RENVILLE COUNTY — A 34-year-old Renville man died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 71 at Renville County Road 11, Winfield Township Nov. 5.

Christopher J. Novotny died driving a 2004 Dodge Intrepid westbound on CR 11 that collided with a 2012 Ford truck driven by Jeffrey D. Anthony, 55, New Ulm, who was northbound on Highway 71. Both drivers wore seat belts. Anthony was taken to an Olivia hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia Police, Fire, Rescue and Ambulance assisted.
