NEW ULM/COURTLAND — The New Ulm Brewers and Courtland Cubs head into the final weekend of the Class C Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament this Saturday at two different locations.

First the New Ulm Brewers take on the Buckman Billygoats in a 1:30 p.m. matchup at Belle Plaine’s Tiger Park. Region 2C fans may still have time to catch most of the region’s second game of the day by heading to Green Isle after the Brewers’ game as the Cubs play the Red Wing Aces at 4 p.m. at Irish Yard. The winners of Saturday’s games move on to Sunday, where two more wins will be needed to qualify for a Labor Day state championship game at 1 p.m. Monday in Jordan.
