STARK — Sleepy Eye VFW defeated St. Clair Junior Legion 12-2 in five innings in a junior legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Mason Mathiowetz earned the win on the mound for Sleepy Eye, striking out six and allowing one run on two hits in five innings. At the plate, Cooper Walter was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Sleepy Eye (1-0) plays at Wells on Tuesday.
