The 2024 All-Section 2A Baseball Team was announced Friday, with 20 players from the area out of 26 total being named to the team.

For New Ulm Cathedral, Logan Mielke, Colin Anderson, Brock Wellmann, Levi Franta and Jake Finstad were chosen to the team, while Minnesota Valley Lutheran had Zach Riederer make the team. Springfield saw Jakob Nachreiner, Kade Nachreiner, Jackson Ludewig, Noah Neperman and Aiden Moriarty make the team, while Sleepy Eye had Austin Uecker chosen. Sleepy Eye St. Marys’ Jon Petermann, Kameron Kosak, Brandon Schmitz and Mark Anderson made the team, along with Madelia’s Tate Becker, Tony Zaleski, Noel Davila and Zach Jacobs.

Springfield’s Brandon Wilhelmi was named the Section 2A Baseball Coach of the Year.
