The 2023 All-Section 2A Baseball Team was released on Thursday, with five New Ulm Cathedral players and five Sleepy Eye players leading the way.

Making the team from Cathedral was Carter Haala, Levi Franta, Matt Seidl, Kyle Seidl and Caleb Forstner, while Sleepy Eye saw Aria Saenz, Nick Mielke, Cody Schultz, Winsten Nienhaus and Jacob Price make the team. Also making the team was Madelia’s Tony Zaleski, Martin County West’s Lucas Larson and Zach Anderson, Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman’s Kaiden Musser and Luke Kester, Mankato Loyola’s Jake Sizer and Cameron Fogal, Sleepy Eye St. Marys’ Mark Anderson, Jon Petermann, Talan Helget and Brandon Schmitz, and Springfield’s Jakob Nachreiner, Kade Nachreiner, Ashtin Johnson and Luke Boyle.

Cathedral head coach Alan Woitas was named the Section 2A Baseball Coach of the Year.
