NEW ULM — Brown County Commissioners recognized Assistant Zoning Administrator Amanda Lang Tuesday for receiving the 2026 Minnesota Association for County Feedlot Officers (MACFO) Exemplary Duty Award.
Brown County Planning and Zoning Director Robert Santaella said the award is presented to MACFO members who have shown exemplary action in their duty as a county feedlot office.
He said Lang was nominated for the award by Martin County Zoning Administrator Pam Flitter who recognized Lang for her leadership as the president and former president of MACFO.
“Amanda used her time to be a strong advocate for MACFO and for the interests of Brown County,” said Santaella.
The state association of feedlot officers represents counties that have delegated authority to administer Minnesota’s feedlot rule.
Lang received the Tina Rosenstein Outstanding Service Award at the 2023 Annual Minnesota Association of County Feedlot Officers. The award is considered the highest award granted by MACFO, given to a member who has shown outstanding dedication and service to the betterment of and furthering of its goals.
Lang was cited for an active role with MACFO, leading multiple teams with joint membership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MCPA).
