DASSEL — Sleepy Eye Junior Legion downed Dassel 18-1 in five innings of Junior Legion baseball action on Monday.

Jon Petermann was 3 for 3 with four runs scored and two RBIs to lead Sleepy Eye. He also drew a walk, was hit by a pitch and stole two bases. Cody Schultz was 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and five RBIs also for Sleepy Eye.

Marcus Martinez pitched three innings in the win, allowing one hit and striking out five. Isaac Lendt pitched two shutout innings in relief of Martinez.

Sleepy Eye plays at Mueller Park in New Ulm against New Ulm VFW Gold at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
