building for the City of
New Ulm Trap Range.
The new building will
have a concrete foun-
dation, wood framed
construction with steel
siding and liner panel.
Minimal interior buil-
dout includes storage
room.

1.05 EXAMINATIOIN
OF DOCUMENTS
AND SITE
A. Examination of the
site: Bidders shall
make arrangements
with the Construction
Manager to visit the
project site to obtain
first-hand knowledge of
existing conditions, in-
cluding existing utilities
and services, obstacles
which may be encoun-
tered and all other con-
ditions relative to the
work to be performed.
1.06 BID SECURITY
A. Not required for this
project.
1.07 PREVAILING
WAGE REQUIRE-
MENTS
A. This project is sub-
ject to the provisions of
Minnesota Statutes
Sections 177.41
through 177.44 relating
to prevailing wages.
The Contractor and all
subcontractors shall
pay laborers and
mechanics employed
on the project not less
than the prevailing
wages as determined
by the Minnesota
Department of Labor
and Industry.
B. Prevailing wage
rates applicable to this
project are included in
the Project Manual. It
is the responsibility of
the Contractor to com-
ply with all applicable
prevailing wage laws
and reporting require-
ments.
1.08 OTHER CONDI-
TIONS
A. Time of Completion.
Refer to Section 01
3200 Construction
Schedule. Bids shall
reflect all costs neces-
sary to meet this
schedule requirement.
B. Additional Compen-
sation: Contractors
shall not receive extra
payments for condi-
tions which can be
determined by examin-
ing the site and the
contract documents.
1.09 SALES TAX EX-
EMPTION
A. The Owner is a
tax-exempt entity. Ma-
terials and equipment
incorporated into the
Work may be exempt
from Minnesota state
sales and use tax in
accordance with appli-
cable laws.
B. The Contractor shall
be responsible for
complying with all Min-
nesota Department of
Revenue requirements
related to tax-exempt
purchases. The Owner
will provide appropriate
exemption documenta-
tion to the successful
Contractor for qualify-
ing materials incor-
porated into the Pro-
ject.
C. The Contractor shall
include all applicable
taxes in its Bid, except
for those materials and
equipment that qualify
for exemption. No ad-
ditional compensation
will be allowed for
failure to properly ac-
count for tax-exempt
purchases.
D. Awarded contrac-
tors will receive a con-
tract for labor and a PO
for materials.
1.10 OWNER’S
RIGHTS
A. Owner’s Right to
Reject Bids:Owner
reserves the right to re-
ject a bid which is in
anyway incomplete or
irregular or to waive in-
formalities or irregulari-
ties in the bid received,
and accept a bid,
which in the Owner’s
judgment is in the
Owner’s besst interest.
