JANESVILLE — New Ulm Cathedral topped Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in a nonconference baseball game on Tuesday.
Isaiah Rieser went 2 for 3 with a triple, three runs scored and 2 RBIs and Sam Knowles went 3 for 4 with four RBIs.
Logan Mielke earned the win, allowing five hits and two runs in four innings.
St. Mary’s 16, BLHS 0
HECTOR — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s crushed Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in five innings in Tomahawk Conference baseball.
For St. Mary’s, Carson Domeier went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Mark Anderson was 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Joey Herzog had a double and two RBIs and Kameron Kosak was 2 for 3 with a double. Brandon Tauer had a home run and an RBI.
Jacob Stevens earned the win, striking out seven in five innings. He gave up three hits.

NICOLLET — Madelia made quick work of Nicollet, winning the Valley Conference baseball game in five innings on Tuesday.
Dylan Grev earned the win, striking out seven in three innings. Grev also had a triple and was 3 for 3 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Eric Anderson was 3 for 4 with four runs scored and Jake Lehman was 3 for 3 with three runs scored. Kaden Johnson was 3 for 3 with six RBIs.

Springfield 6, St. Mary’s 3
SLEEPY EYE — Springfield scored four runs in the fifth to take the lead and defeat Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s in Tomahawk Conference softball action on Tuesday.
Brooklyn Sturm went 3 for 3 and Jalivia Richert drove in three runs for the Tigers. Maya Nelson went 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the Knights.
Jaeli Richert pitched seven innings and allowed seven hits in the winning effort. She gave up three runs.
Lacey Mathiowetz pitched four innings and allowed six runs on seven hits to take the loss for St. Mary’s. Maya Nelson was 3 for 3 with a triple to lead the Knights at the plate, while Allie Labat was 2 for 4.
New Ulm 4, Worthington 2
WORTHINGTON — New Ulm edged Worthington in a Big South Conference softball game on Tuesday.
Ramsey Hopp went all seven innings to earn the win. She allowed three hits and two runs and she struck out nine.
Miranda Suess was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and Hopp was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs. Amber Lee was 2 for 3 with a double and Emma Brudelie had a double and two RBIs.

MCW 10, Madelia 5
NORTHRUP — Martin County West breezed past Madelia in a Valley Conference softball doubleheader on Tuesday.
In Game 1, Emma Coil took the loss for Madelia. She gave up 18 hits and 15 earned runs and she struck out seven.
Coil was 3 for 3 at the plate with an RBI. Abby Jacobs had two hits for Madelia.
Corban Tatro took the loss in Game 2. She gave up 10 runs in four innings and she struck out five. Malia Schwanke was 2 for 3 and Jacobs also had two hits in the second game.

MARSHALL — Marshall crushed Wabasso in a nonconference softball game on Tuesday.
Avery Carlson had a double for the Rabbits.
Nicollet 15, Cleveland 0
Nicollet 10, JWP 0
NICOLLET — Nicollet defeated Cleveland and Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in a pair of Valley Conference softball games on Wednesday. Both games were no-hitters.
Against Cleveland, Marah Hulke led the way with three hits for the Raiders. Hayley Selby didn’t allow a hit in four innings and she struck out eight. She also hit a two-run home run.
Hulke had a no-hitter in the second game and struck out 10. She also had three hits.

NEW ULM — New Ulm Cathedral defeated Cedar Mountain in Tomahawk Conference boys’ golf action on Tuesday.
Owen Strei, Joey Fingland and Will Marti all carded a 47 for Cathedral and Blake Schueller shot a 48.
On the girls’ side, Cathedral’s Kayla Goblirsch shot a 40 to lead the way. Keanna Huktquist shot a 52 to lead Cedar Mountain.
New Ulm boys 6th at
Big South
ST. PETER — The New Ulm boys’ golf team shot a 347 to finish sixth at the Big South Conference boys’ golf meet at Shoreland Country Club.
Will Fossen led New Ulm with an 82 and Evan Griebel shot an 84.
New Ulm girls 4th at Big South
FAIRMONT — The New Ulm girls’ golf team shot a 198 to finish fourth at the Big South Conference girls’ meet on Tuesday.
Paige Dreckman finished ninth overall for New Ulm with a 47 and Kate Frauenholtz shot a 47. Elyse Dreckman finished with a 49 for the Eagles.

WABASSO — Wabasso and Minnesota Valley Lutheran split a Tomahawk Conference baseball doubleheader on Monday.
The Rabbits jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first inning, but the Chargers scored a run in the third and two in the fifth to tie it at 4-4. The Chargers scored a single run in the ninth, but Wabasso scored twice for the win.
Both teams had a big offensive outburst in the second game. The Rabbits finished with 11 hits and the Chargers had 12 hits.
