NEW ULM — The New Ulm 16U softball team defeated the Mankato Peppers 2-1 on Thursday.

Megan Haala earned the win. She allowed one hit and she struck out four in three innings. Laura Bertrang was 2 for 3 to lead New Ulm at the plate.
