Birth control pill — not the answer

To the editor: Taking the birth control pill can cause hemorrhaging, sterility or other serious problems in some women. The sperm can live up to 5 days, therefore the pill is only effective 93-99% of the time. The pill is unnatural, and with pre-existing conditions, can cause cancer or other serious diagnoses. What ever happened to teaching our children abstinence and responsibility, instead of the “feel good society” we live in today? God’s law commands, “Do Not Commit Adultery”. Period. Mass murder

To the editor: For years, I have been perplexed and very angry that AK and AR assault rifles are sold to the public when these weapons belong solely with the military for combat purposes. Far too many teens buying these assault rifles, then committing mass murder, so what is the purpose of having these guns available to the public? They can’t be used as a hunting rifle for deer, turkey, ducks, etc. Rather than the Twin Cities locking up people’s rifles in storage sheds and not allowing guns in their owners homes, simply remove all assault rifles from existing in public. To the editor: A moral and spiritual crisis in the U.S. has created a new norm... bad attitudes of being irresponsible, lazy, childish, undependable, entitled whiners on the job who spend more time on their phones and texting than doing their jobs to earn their paychecks, Sadly, the mature, caring, responsible, dependable, dedicated, hardworking folks are becoming an extinct breed via retirement and death. To the editor: In an article about a presentation made to the school board on Thursday, NUJ characterized what was said: Mary Thom suggested that “the parents of students attending PRISM meetings are unaware of what is happening.
