Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of CR 8 and Highway 14, Prairieville Township, Brown County, at 9:55 a.m. Monday. A 2000 International grain truck driven by Steven John Meyer, 77, Springfield, was northbound on County Road 8 when it collided with a 2016 Ford Escape driven by Molly Marie Stimpert, 32, Sleepy Eye, that was eastbound on Highway 14. Stimpert was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital, Robbinsdale with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Ford, Patricia Kay Peterson, 71, Sleepy Eye, was transported to Sleepy Eye Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Meyer was not injured. Everyone wore seat belts. No alcohol was involved.

New Ulm Police

• Received a stolen vehicle report at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday at 1224 N. Broadway. A white, 1998 Toyota Tacoma valued at $11,900 was reported stolen sometime Saturday. A report went to police investigators.

• Responded to a disturbance report at Smiley’s Tavern at 4:42 p.m. Saturday. A no trespass notice was issued to a 58-year-old New Ulm man. No injuries or damage was reported. A report went to Brown County Probation.

• Responded to a criminal damage to property report at Minnecon Park, 2 Minnecon Dr. at 5:03 p.m. Saturday. A park gate was damaged. A damage estimate was not available. A report went to the New Ulm Park & Recreation Dept.

• Performed a welfare check on a 43-year-old New Ulm woman at 3rd St. N. and State at 8:31 p.m. Saturday. The woman was not injured and declined medical assistance. Police returned to the residence at 12:21 p.m. Sunday. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

• Arrested a 52-year-old New Ulm man for DUI at 3rd St. s. and Valley St. at 11:49 p.m. Saturday. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a domestic call at 11:17 p.m. Saturday in Mulligan Township. Police separated a 33-year-old Sleepy Eye and an 18-year-old Sleepy Eye male. There were no injuries or damage reported. A report was done for documentation.
