New Ulm Police
• Stopped a vehicle at Minnesota St. N. and 12th St. N. at 6:43 p.m. Jan. 31. A 59-year-old New Ulm man was charged with driving after license cancellation-inimical to public safety and transported to jail. Vehicle license plates were impounded. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a theft report from Walmart, 1720 Westridge Road at 6:57 p.m. Jan. 30. Video surveillance showed a 32-year-old Stewart woman and a 38-year-old man, address unknown, walking out with a cart containing 29 items worth $1,745.27 without paying for it. Tips led to the identification of suspects. Law enforcement continues to investigate.
• Received a scam/fraud report at 5:07 p.m. Jan. 31 from a 19-year-old New Ulm female who said she got a letter from the U.S. Postal Service about a work at home company, Pop Art Style using fraudulent shipping. A report was done for documentation.
