Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Stopped a vehicle at 12:04 a.m. Jan. 1, 2022 at CR 20 and CR 10, Albin Township involving juveniles and underage alcohol consumption. Five vehicles were left at the scene. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a theft report at 7:35 pm.. Jan. 2 on 1st St. W., Hanska. No more information was available. An investigation continues.

Sibley County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a semi-truck and trailer rollover crash without injuries on 481st Avenue near 240th Street, Dryden Township at 12:43 p.m. Dec. 30, 2021. Jordan Wlasiuk, 20, Winthrop, was hauling corn when he lost control of the semi truck and trailer, entered the road shoulder and east ditch on 481st Avenue. The rig overturned onto the driver’s side and came to a stop in the east ditch. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted.

• Responded to a semi truck and trailer in the ditch on CR 8 near 431st Avenue at 9:27 a.m. Dec. 27, 2021. Jeremy Loch, 29, Rockville, was driving the truck and trailer that was blown off the icy road. The semi tractor remained on the road and blocked the westbound lane. A commercial tow truck pulled the semi tractor and trailer back onto the road. No injuries were reported.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries on CSAH 8 near the intersection of 387th Lane, Kelso Township, about 6 miles west of Le Sueur at 6:22 a.m. Dec. 27, 2021. Dominique Beckstead, 23, Mankato, became stuck on ice in the middle of the road when he was struck by a vehicle driven by John Vandorpe, 63, Glencoe, who could not stop on ice. Beckstead’s vehicle had substantial damage and was towed. Vandorpe’s vehicle was driven from the scene.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries on State Highway 15 near 276th Street north of Winthrop at 11:08 a.m. Dec. 27, 2021. Korrah Schauer, 18, Winthrop, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Highway 15, tried to slow for a semi tractor and trailer along traveling northbound. She tried to pass to avoid a collision and collided with the rear of the semi trailer. Gerald Boody, 56, Little Falls, was driving the semi tractor/trailer that was not damaged.

McLeod County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a theft report near Highway 212 and Unit Ave. east of Stewart at 9:42 p.m. An investigation continues.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash near 30th St. and Oday Ave. south of Brownton at 6:25 p.m. Dec. 31. Brian Meier, 64, Hutchinson, was driving a 1997 Dodge Dakota owned by Derek Meier, Hutchinson collided with Daniel Brasch, 40, Brownton, driving a John Deere 3020. A deputy cleared with a Minnesota State Accident Report.

• Responded to a driving complaint near Highway 212 and Dairy Ave. east of Glencoe at 12:23 a.m. Jan. 1, 2022. Glencoe Police also responded. Hipolito Ramirez Martinez, 34, Glencoe, was arrested for DWI and transported to the McLeod County Jail, Glencoe. Deputies cleared with a report.
