New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 1:43 p.m. Monday on the 500 block of 7th North Street. A 2014 Chevy Impala driven by Sharon Elizabeth Fitterer, 74, New Ulm, was in front of a 2012 Ford Expedition driven by Jack Christopher Griebel, 17, New Ulm northbound on 7th North. Fitterer slowed to turn right into the Express Lane station and was struck in the rear by Griebel. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. The Ford was towed. Fitterer had minor injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts.
• Were dispatched at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday for a 31-year-old Mankato man who was transported to detox by the South Central Crisis Center of Mankato but fled on foot. Police found him near Front Street and 12th St. North. Police felt he did not need to be apprehended and let him go. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a vehicle at 5:29 a.m. Thursday near 20th Street South and German Street and arrested a 62-year-old New Ulm man for speeding. The man was cited for gross misdemeanor driver’s license cancelled inimical to public safety (IPS), misdemeanor open bottle, open cannabis package and speeding.
• Assisted Brown County Probation in the arrest and detainment of a 46-year-old New Ulm man for a probation violation at 1:32 p.m. Thursday on the 900 block of Valley Street North. A report went to Brown County Probation.
