• Responded to a theft report on Hall Street in Stewart at 7:06 a.m. Dec. 6. The report is under investigation.
Renville County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a 911 call reporting a hog barn fire on the 32000 block of CR 2, Beaver Falls Township, about 3 miles northwest of Morton at 2:09 p.m. Dec. 6. A preliminary investigation revealed the fire began on the east side of one of buildings due to an electrical issue. There were no hogs in the barns at the time. A damage estimated has not yet been made. The property is owned by Richard and Debra Scheffler, rural Morton. Morton, Redwood Falls and Franklin Fire Departments assisted.
