New Ulm Police

• Towed three vehicles to the City Impound Lot due to the downtown snow emergency at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday. One vehicle was towed from the 100 block of Minnesota Street South and two from the 500 block of First Street South.

Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries on South Street in Stewart at 4:30 p.m., Dec. 30. A 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Keith Doering, 53, Brownton, and a 2013 Hyundai Sonata driven by Martin Hanson, 18, Stewart, collided. Both drivers wore seat belts.

State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on Highway 22 near 340th Street, Sibley Township, Sibley County at 8:56 a.m. Dec. 31. A 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by Alexandria M. Sandberg, 27, Belle Plaine, was northbound on Highway 22, slid off an ice-covered road and rolled in the west ditch. Sandberg was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. She wore a seat belt. Three juvenile passengers were not injured and wore seat belts. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Dept. Gaylord Fire and Ambulance assisted.

• Observed graffiti written on a public restroom wall in Rush River County Park Dec. 18. A $200 reward is offered by the Friends of Rush River for information leading to the prosecution and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the property damage. Anyone with information can call the sheriff’s office at 507-237-4330.
