New Ulm Police

• Located a 16-year-old male Riverbend Area Learning Center student from Gibbon near the school at 1315 S. Broadway, at 1:26 p.m. Oct. 15. The student was suspected of carrying dangerous weapons on school property. Police found two knives and a personal taser in the student’s backpack. A report will be sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.

• Responded to a call at 3 Tower Road at 7:58 a.m. Thursday. A Wastewater Treatment plant employee complained of not being able to get to work because a train blocked a roadroad crossing for more than 10 minutes. A citation was issued to the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Laser Avenue one-half mile west of Sanborn at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday. A 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser driven by Xander Wigton, 16, Sanborn, was demolished. A passenger, Zachary Connell, 16, had minor injuries. Erik Posz, a passenger and vehicle owner, was not injured.
