Family Night on the farm

The New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club is bringing the 2026 Family Night on the Farm to Steve and Kerry Hoffman Farm.

The Hoffman Farm is located at 18868 140th Avenue, New Ulm and will host the Family Night from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Family Night includes farm tours, a variety of animals to pet, milking demonstrations, photos with dairy princesses, kids’ activities, goodie bags, hayrides, educational displays, and a chance to meet a veterinarian and other dairy specialists.

Princess Kay of the Milky Way and area dairy princesses will take part, along with FFA and 4-H members and Nicollet and Brown County Holstein Association members.

The special event promotes agriculture during July Ice Cream Month. The dairy treat line-up–all free–will include root beer floats, milk, yogurt, ice cream bars, and cheese sticks.

For those who want more, there will be a cheeseburger meal with chips, milk, and cookie for $5. The club is offering this in cooperation with the Redwood Area Cattlemen. A maximum of 400 meals will be available.

This is the tenth time that the club has hosted the event–and the ninth time that it’s being held on the Hoffman farm. Just under 1000 people attended the last time it was at the Hoffmans.

Since parking is limited on the farm, a free handicap-accessible shuttle bus will transport visitors back and forth from Searles Well Drilling’s parking lot, 13035 County Road 25, New Ulm.The event is free and open to the public. All ages are invited. Strollers are welcome.
