•End of the Summer Pool Party from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Rec Center August 21. The Ninja Cross will be open from 1 to 3 p.m., inner tubes provided by park and rec and log roller from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and free craft activity in the party room. Membership and daily admission applies.

• Fall Program Registration is now open. Registration available online at newulmmn.gov for programs including swimming lessons (start in September) as well as youth football, volleyball, tennis (starts in November), racquetball league and adult pottery.

• Fall Garage Sale will be held in the Civic Center on Saturday, Sept. 28. Those interested in being a vendor at the sale, register in person at the Rec Center.

• Open Volleyball at the Rec Center now through August during all open gym hours. Admission or membership required.

• Skating at the Civic Center open skate: Sundays 1:15-2:45 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Open Figure Skating available Mondays 1:15-2:30 p.m.

• Open Hockey at the Civic Center General Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., PW/younger Wednesdays 4-5:30 p.m. and Bant/older Sundays thru August 6:30-7:45 p.m.

• Wading Pools open daily 12:30 to 6 p.m. through August 18

• North Park Splash Pad open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day

• Indoor Pool and Locker Rooms will be shut down starting Monday Aug. 26 through Labor Day, Sept. 2 for annual maintenance.

• Rec Center Labor Day Weekend Hours Saturday August 31 7 a.m. to 12 noon, closed all day Sunday and Monday September 1 and 2.
