Kucera, Buegler, Arneson highlight All-Journal Boys Golf

Nolan Kucera, Fr., SEU

The 2026 Tomahawk-Valley Conference Player of the Year, Kucera was also the Section 2A Individual champion and helped lead his team to a fifth-place finish at the state tournament. Kucera also placed 16th individually in Class A and had a nine-hole average of 37.4 on the year, second in all of Class A in the state.

Mason Buegler, Jr., New Ulm

While he had a slower start to his junior year of golf, Buegler stuck with it and improved on his scores when it mattered most. That led to his second consecutive state golf tournament appearance. He averaged a 79.3 18-hole score, best on the team, was third in Section 3AA and finished 30th at state in Class AA with a two-day score of 152. His nine-hole average on the year was 39.5.

Blaine Arneson, Jr., SEU

An All-State golfer, Arneson was second in the Tomahawk-Valley Conference in nine-hole average with a 40. Arneson placed 27th in his second state tournament appearance and was fourth overall in points in the conference tournament. Arneson earned his second All-Conference selection this year.

Brandt Munson, Jr., New Ulm

One of New Ulm’s most reliable golfers on the year, Munson turned in multiple 18-hole rounds in the 70s and was second on the team in scoring average. The All-Conference golfer for the second year in a row missed the state tournament by one stroke this year and had an 18-hole average of 80.7. His nine-hole average was 40.1.

Colton Anderson, Jr., New Ulm

With an 80.9 average per 18 holes and a 40.4 nine-hole average, Anderson made it to Day 2 of the Section 3AA Tournament and recorded an eagle on the first day of the tournament. He was a Big South All-Conference player that was named the team’s most improved player.

Carson Schiller, Sr., Cedar Mountain

Schiller qualified for the Class A State Tournament this year with a fifth-place finish in the section tournament. Schiller took 35th in the state tournament and had a nine-hole average of 41.2. Schiller had his best 18-hole round at the state tournament, shooting a 71.
