NEW ULM — The New Ulm 14U Vipers softball team took first place at the Windmill Classic Tournament in New Ulm on June 20.

In pool play the Vipers defeated Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 8-2, Watertown-Mayer 7-2 and Kasson-Mantorville 7-0. New Ulm then went on to play New London Spicer Wildcats in the championship game, earning a 9-0 shutout to improve to 11-3 on the season.

The 14U Vipers are at a Hutchinson Tournament this Saturday.
