MANKATO — Bison Range Road at Minneopa State Park is closed until further notice to protect the park and bison range from snowmelt damage.

The closure length depends on weather, according to Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Southern Region Information Officer Dan Ruiter.

Meanwhile, the rest of the park is open including the falls area and hiking trails that have views of the bison range.
