Popcorn Wagon open this weekend
NEW ULM — Get your bag of fresh popcorn at the Brown County Historical Society’s popcorn wagon on Friday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be operating on Center Street in front of the Museum.
The popcorn wagon, a part of local history since 1914, was purchased by the Brown County Historical Society in 2002 and restored to its original appearance. It is now operated by a team of volunteers with all proceeds from the sales of freshly popped corn and soft drinks benefitting the Historical Society’s mission and programs. The Brown County Historical Society is located at 2 North Broadway.
The BCHS Annual Book Sale will be held in the Museum Annex on these same dates. Books, DVDs and puzzles can be purchased at the Book Sale on Friday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
