Exterior concrete tilt-up wall panels are installed with a crane at the New Ulm Recreation Center, 122 Garden St. S., Thursday. Work will continue for several days, followed by a concrete roof structure that will allow winter interior work to be done. New indoor projects — part of a $14 million Reinvest in New Ulm (RENU) package funded by a 0.5 percent local sales tax — include aquatic, gymnastics and fitness centers and a playground. Vogel Fieldhouse will also be renovated.
