SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Tigers rolled by the Searles Grizzles 13-1 in seven innings in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game Sunday.

The game was called after seven innings due to the 10-run lead rule.

Tori Helget got the win for Springfield, striking out four while allowing one earned run on four hits in 4 1/3 innings pitched. At the plate, Decker Scheffler was 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and five RBIs while Helget was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Jacob Nachreiner was 2 for 3 with an RBI and three runs scored while Ashtin Johnson was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Tony Geiger took the loss for Searles, striking out two while allowing six earned runs on seven hits and eight walks in 4 1/3 innings. At the plate, Josh Johnson was 1 for 3 with an RBI while Schommer had a run scored.

Springfield (11-4) will finish out its regular season Wednesday with a home game against Courtland, while Searles (3-12) will finish its regular season at home against Essig on Tuesday.

ESSIG — The Hanska Lakers crushed the Essig Bluejays 20-4 in seven innings Sunday in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.

Ethan Mixdorf was the winning pitcher, striking out five while allowing one run on two hits and two walks in five innings. At the plate, Zach Fischer was 3 for 5 with a home run, five RBIs and two runs scored while Kevin Larson was 2 for 5 with three RBIs and a run scored. SLEEPY EYE — The Leavenworth Orioles took down the Sleepy Eye Indians 16-7 Sunday in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.

Austin Uecker got the win on the mound for Leavenworth, striking out three while allowing four earned runs on two hits and three walks in four innings. At the plate, Caden Evers hit for the cycle with three RBIs and three runs scored while Jevan Richert was 3 for 5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Mark Anderson was 3 for 6 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Uecker was 2 for 4 with three RBIs.

Nick Mielke took the loss for Sleepy Eye, striking out one while allowing six runs on six hits in three innings. At the plate, Owen Weiss had a home run and three RBIs while Colton Gemmill had a hit and two RBIs and Mielke had two RBIs.

Leavenworth (13-2) plays its final regular season game at St. James on Tuesday while Sleepy Eye (5-10) plays its final regular season game at Stark on Wednesday.

ST. JAMES — The New Ulm Brewers cruised by the St. James Saints 21-0 in seven innings Sunday in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.
