Mathiowetz earns Tomahawk Conference Softball Player of the Year
Sleepy Eye St. Marys’ Lacey Mathiowetz was announced as the 2023 Tomahawk All-Conference Softball Player of the Year this week.
Mathiowetz was joined on the All-Conference team by teammate Allie Labat, Kallie Zarn, Adelinde Hoffmann and Isabella Hoffmann. New Ulm Cathedral’s Megan Haala and Kiah Helget also made the tam, along with Wabasso’s Avery Carlson, Sophia Hanna and Kelsey Frank. Springfield’s Jaeli Richert, Maddy Digmann and Brooklyn Sturm were also named to the team, while Sleepy Eye’s Taylor Berkner and Paige Haala and Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Ashlyn Rodewald made the team.
Earning Honorable Mention was Cathedral’s Jenna Hotovec, Alexa Hornick, Jaylin Hartness and Sydnee Helget, Springfield’s Lexie Groebner and Jalivia Richert, Sleepy Eye’s Brooke Arneson and Katelyn Tauer and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Halle Bleick.
