NEW ULM — Despite New Ulm Area starting off with back-to-back wins against Fairmont/Martin County West, the No. 3-ranked Class AA Red Bulls rolled after that to a 60-15 victory over the Eagles in Big South Conference wrestling action on Tuesday.

Parker Kamm started the dual off for the Eagles by taking Rylan Cutler down and pinning him in 1:22. Logan Lee then took on Cooper Stueber at 113, and the two were tied up at 2-all after two periods.

Fifteen seconds into the third period and with Stueber unable to make anything happen with his top position, Lee escaped and went up 3-2. That escape was enough for Lee as he held off Stueber’s late bid for a takedown and picked up a 3-2 decision to put NUA ahead 9-0.

The Red Bulls rolled with 11 consecutive wins after that to lead 60-9. That run included Lucas Jagodzinske picking up his 150th career win after pinning Wyatt Pollard in a 138-pound matchup. Also during the Red Bulls’ run, Blake Jagodzinske battled with Cole Ranweiler at 170 pounds.

After a scoreless first two periods, Blake Jagodzinske pinned Ranweiler in the third after a reversal. Blake Jagodzinske is currently ranked fourth in Class AA at 160 pounds, while Ranweiler is ranked seventh at 182.

The Eagles picked up the final win of the night at heavyweight when Jaden Drill pinned Alec Thompson. Drill got a takedown in the first period and another in the second with less than a minute remaining before pinning Thompson in 3:44.

NUA is at Luverne on Friday.
