New Ulm Legion Gold

• Knowles started off the week for New Ulm Gold with a 2-for-4 game in a 10-0, six-inning DI Minnesota State American Legion baseball win over Cold Spring in Cold Spring on Thursday. In New Ulm’s second game Thursday, Gold topped the St. Cloud Chutes 4-1, with Knowles adding a two-run double.

• On Friday, despite Edina topping Gold 5-3, Knowles had another strong day at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. He wrapped up his time in the state tournament with a single in a 5-1 loss to Buffalo on Saturday.
