SLEEPY EYE — In the bottom of the seventh and with two outs, Kyle Domeier’s RBI double gave Sleepy Eye Post 7 a 7-6 walk-off win over New Ulm Legion Gold in legion baseball action Monday night.

Zach Haala also had a solid night at the plate for Post 7, going 2 for 3 with a three-run homer. Jacob Berg got the complete-game win for Sleepy Eye, allowing eight hits, two walks and six runs while striking out five.

For Gold, Braden Zimmerman took the loss in 6 2/3 innings of work, allowing six hits and seven runs with three strikeouts.

Josh Seidl was 2 for 4 with a double for Gold, while Jace Marotz went 1 for 2 with two RBIs and Mason Cox added a double.

Post 7 hosts Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Gold is at Mankato American for a doubleheader scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Thursday.
