ST. JAMES — New Ulm VFW Silver picked up a pair of wins over St. James on Saturday in a VFW baseball doubleheader.

In Game 1, Silver overcame a 4-0 deficit to score five runs in the final inning for a 5-4 win. Will Schabert drove in two runs and Noah Wilmes drove in a run in the last inning, while the final run was scored on a wild pitch.

Carson Helget got the win for Silver in Game 1.

Silver took the second game 6-0, with Schabert getting the complete-game win.

Caleb Arndt was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs, while Cade Bushard added two hits and an RBI. Wilmes and Ethan Mixdorf each added an RBI in Game 2.

Silver hosts Mankato Maroon at 6 p.m., Monday at Mueller Park.
